Every body is different.  Healing times given are approximate and will vary from person to person.  APP-Approved body jewelry suited to an individual’s anatomy with good placement will go a long way to reducing healing time, but is only ½ of the equation.  The other half is up to each ‘piercee’ and involves keeping one’s overall physical health up (exercise, healthy diet, sunshine, staying hydrated and avoiding stress or trauma to the piercing site) and returning to the shop when swelling has subsided for a jewelry downsize. All of these aforementioned things will help the piercing to heal faster.
