I am a primarily self-taught piercer. I spent countless hours in my teenage years studying piercing health, safety and technique online through the now defunct BMEZine.com and was an active member of their IAM community for many years.
I began piercing myself and friends in 2002 and landed my first professional position in 2006 at Maddog Tattoo in Bakersfield, CA.
Before then, I spent time in Australia where I was introduced to body ritual piercing technique at Polymorph Piercing in Sydney.
Since starting in the industry, I have worked at a number of shops in Southern California and learned more from my peers and co-workers. I have continued to enhance my piercing knowledge by attending some of the annual APP (Association of Professional Piercers) conferences in Las Vegas, NV, even volunteering once.
Since discovering the APP, my awareness of cross-contamination prevention, safe piercing practices and the vital importance of professional-grade jewelry has become dramatically enhanced.
My training also includes Blood Borne Pathogens courses and certification from the APP, as well as First Aid and CPR from Red Cross.
Piercing is a life-long passion of mine. I continue the learning journey and strive to improve my practice in order to offer every client the best possible service.
